Washington, DC 2009 Update
I know that many of you have had a challenging few weeks since Hurricane Gustave. I hope that things are beginning to settle down. As you know, I sent out information on the Washington, DC trip earlier this year. Many of you indicated you were interested in receiving additional information. I have heard from several of you since that time.
As I plan for the trip, I want to make sure that anyone who is interested in participating has had a chance to respond. Keep in mind, the trip is a definite GO! If our group is a small one, we will combine with other schools to fill a bus.
For those of you who have already registered, I am attaching a list of travelers. Please send me your rooming preferences. I will register each traveler as requesting a double room. If you would prefer to room quad, I will need the names of your roommates. Each adult should send in a rooming request.
Remember…the trip cost is based on rooming. The trip fee for each traveler staying quad (4 to a room) is $1299 and the trip fee for each traveler staying double is $1498.
Keep in mind that this is a 4 day trip tentatively scheduled for May 31-June 3rd. The trip fee covers
6 meals, airline transportation, hotel, tour guide, evening activities, and tours. Full refund insurance of $139 (per traveler) is available. Insurance will be billed automatically on the first billing. Travelers who are not interested in purchasing insurance must indicate this on the 1st invoice.
Once again I remind you, that this trip is open to everyone. Traditionally many 6th grade students have traveled with the group. However; in many cases, situations may have prevented students from traveling at that time. It is not too late to travel. You are never too young or too old to enjoy Washington, DC. Family members and friends are encouraged to travel with the group. Please pass this information on to any interested travelers.
